Track cadence, interruption, and calibration wake reasons independently
across X11 and Wayland. Feed phase correction back only when a pure
cadence wake renders the exact frame that was queued at that wake.
Propagate EGL swap results through the display-server boundary. Reject
failed presentations and keep pending Wayland HDR descriptions inactive
until the preceding surface commit succeeds.
Mark the active fade as requiring a fully restored render target.
This also covers guest-driven renders between animation ticks so they
cannot blend over stale splash content.
Correlate received frames with the texture update actually consumed by
the renderer and retain damage until its token becomes renderable.
Split client latency into dispatch, import, queue, preparation, setup,
effects, desktop, composition, and swap stages in FRAME LATENCY.
Exclude diagnostic overlay work from composition and preserve client
wait time when producer timing is unavailable.
Publish joined samples through a bounded token queue, avoid sleeping
while producer timing is finalized, and correct Wayland photon units.
The new configuration option `input:evdev` accepts a comma separated
list of `/dev/input/` keyboard devices to use for input when in capture
mode. This makes it possible to capture only a specific keyboard instead
of all keyboards.
This removes the need for locking while also giving a better result in
the graph output. Also when the graph is disabled via the overlay
options it will no longer cause redraws.
This adds a new `earlyInit` call which allows the overlay to register
options before actually being intialized. Also the keybind handling and
state tracking for each overlay has been moved internal to the overlay
itself.
The default of [0, 50] makes sense for FPS/UPS graphs, but does not for
things like the import graph. The latter should not take more than 5 ms
for sure.
This commit allows the min/max y-axis value to be specified when registering
the graph.
Now that we are drawing with damage rects, when the window is hidden and
then exposed the window may not get fully redrawn. This provides
`app_invalidateWindow` for the display server backend to call when the
screen needs a full redraw.
This is necessary in case overlays change size. When this happens, we must
damage the larger of the overlays' rectangles this frame and last frame.
This erases the overlay from where it is no longer appears.
In order to do this, we must keep track of the rectangles for every overlay
with no exception. We cannot short-circuit the generation of rectangles if
we run out of buffer space, and we must allocate space for MAX_OVERLAY_RECTS
rectangles for every frame. Otherwise, we will not know where to erase the
overlay if it disappears.
