Make again gets a Made by picker, /api/ugc/options lists the processor
choices and default, the settings page has the toolbox_* settings, and
/reprocessproperty takes native or toolbox-blender.

Embree 4 (always built) replaces the UGC server's own bounding volume
hierarchies (the nearest-hit one and the occlusion rays' any-hit one), with no
fallback to them. ray_backend is embree (default) or hiprt (optional build;
Embree when it can't be used).
Settings, stored options and stats that say builtin still read: it is embree
(UgcRays::Parse, UgcProcessOptions::Parse). The dashboard's picker,
/reprocessproperty and --make-model offer embree and hiprt.
Tests: the backends are compared with Embree (hiprt when built), Embree against
rays whose hits are known, and the clutter's occlusion against what the old
hierarchy worked out (296 vertices summing to 114.5, 26 open, 183 dark); the
pinned model hashes are unchanged with Embree.
Check: ray_backend=builtin in an ini still starts and uses embree; the
settings page offers Embree and HIPRT.

The path tracer that imitated LU Toolbox's Remove Hidden Faces took 17 to 100
times as long as the renders from 42 directions around the model, too heavy to
use. It goes with its settings (hsr_method, hsr_samples, hsr_bounces,
hsr_sample_spacing, hsr_min_points), its side by side tracing for GPUs and its
tests. The renders (UgcRender::VisibleFromAround) remove hidden faces as before
that method existed; their size is hsr_resolution (1024), and the memory
estimate counts their buffers again.
The hidden-face method is no longer a processing option: the dashboard's picker,
/reprocessproperty and --make-model take only the ray backend (the occlusion's)
and denoising. Options stored before (made_options, process_options,
ugc_process_runs, --make-model arguments) that name toolbox or fast still
parse; the word is skipped.
Check: the settings page has no hsr_method or path settings and has
hsr_resolution; /reprocessproperty embree toolbox still works (toolbox
ignored); models made with the defaults keep their hashes (UGC tests).

Staff can make models again with other processing options than the UGC
settings' (ray backend, hidden-face method, denoising) and every make records
what made it, for comparing the options.
- migration mysql 99 / sqlite 82 (ugc_process_options): ugc.process_options
(picked for the next make, cleared once made), ugc.made_options (what made
the current files) and ugc_process_runs (every successful make: options,
wall and CPU time, hidden faces', occlusion's and icon's time, bricks,
triangles before and after)
- IUgc: ResetUgcModelProcessing and ResetPropertyUgcModelProcessing take the
options; PendingModel carries them; RecordUgcModelRun, GetUgcRunSummaries;
list entries have madeOptions and processOptions
- the UGC server applies a job's options over its settings and records the run
- /api/ugc/reprocess takes options ("embree fast oidn"); /api/ugc/options
lists the choices, the settings' defaults and averages per combination
- /reprocessproperty [builtin|embree|hiprt] [toolbox|fast] [off|oidn], any
order, all optional
Check: run the migration on MySQL and SQLite; /reprocessproperty embree fast
on a property, then the models' made_options and ugc_process_runs rows;
/api/ugc/options.

The UGC Search page and the UGC page searched the same things (owner,
account, property, the name and description a player gave a model, LOT,
UGC / blueprint id) with the same SQL. The UGC page's lists are now the
one search:
- models' List view has a Where column: placed on a property (with the
name given there and a link to the model in the property's 3D view),
in a mail or in the creator's inventories, or not found
(/api/ugc?where=1, UgcLinks::Whereabouts as before)
- owners link to their character and, with accounts_view, account
- while searching, the kind buttons say how many models and how many
cars and rockets match (/api/ugc "matches")
- /ugc_search?q= redirects to /ugc?view=list&q=; the menu's UGC Search
entry is now UGC, which opens the UGC page (it was only under Server
Admin, for ugc_manage)
- References lose their Find button (Where it is has the same) and name
the inventory a build is in
The ugc-search page and script are removed; /api/ugc_links/search stays
for API users.
Check: the menu's UGC entry; an old /ugc_search?q= link opens the UGC
list with the search filled in; owner:, account:, property:, name:,
lot: and id: searches, and the counts on the kind buttons; the Where
column's links (property, 3D, character, account).

The UGC page's assemblies (cars and rockets) list had its own columns.
It now has the models' columns and sorts, minus Saved: ID and Owner (the
newest build and its creator, and how many other owners), State, Made,
Took, CPU and RAM (the latest make of any build, and the cost of the make
the UGC server did for the combination; builds that shared the made icon
cost nothing), Size (the module count), File (the build type and its
modules) and Where (how many builds and owners use it, opening
References). The gallery sorts the same way.
Check: UGC page, Cars and rockets, List: every column sorts both ways on
the server, and the gallery's sort list has the same sorts.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The card had the UGC page's counts per state for both kinds, totals since
the server started and the last makes, which the UGC page's lists cover.
It now says whether the UGC server is up (throttled, paused), how many
items wait and failed (linking to the failed ones), its busy workers,
CPU, memory and stored files.
/api/diagnostics/ugc read the database on a worker thread; the counts are
now read on the web thread and the worker only fetches the UGC server's
status.
Check: Diagnostics with the UGC server enabled: the card is short, reads
right while it's up, throttled and stopped, and the failed link opens the
failed ones.

Why the glitter never moved: player models (LOT 14) are wrapped in
weeblewobble.kfm (RenderComponentWrapper 9845), so the client makes them
an LWOSkinnedRenderComponent, whose Run (0x00d6d3d0) updates the scene
graph (and so any NiTextureTransformController) only while animation is
enabled, and LWOModelBehaviorComponent::EnableAnimation (0x00be2740)
turns it off for modelType 2, which every placed property model is. The
root flags 0x102 added earlier are only read by the base render
component. Nothing in a placed model's .nif can move.
What does move: shader classes set globals in their own per-frame Run.
Distortion Directional (Ocean) (mapShaders 79, Run 0x010b90c0) slides
its texture layers by fixed shares of a tile a second, as the game's own
pond ripples (S79__pond_ripplesShape). Glitter bricks now get a sparkle
group, S79_GlitterSparkle_Model: their triangles lifted 0.005 off the
brick, vertex colors white tinted by the brick, UVs placed per brick,
alpha tested (ShaderCommon's alpha test phase, GREATEREQUAL 127), with a
stored texture of flat sparkles at alpha 230: one layer's sparkle alone
averages under the test, two meeting pass, so sparkles flash and go out
as the layers cross. The flecks stay (LEGO-AnimUV, now without the
controllers and flags that never ran). The icon and the dashboard's 3D
view leave the sparkles out.
New settings: shader_glitter_sparkle (79, 0 off), glitter_sparkle_size,
glitter_sparkle_amount, glitter_sparkle_tint, glitter_sparkle_brightness;
glitter_speed is now how fast sparkles flash (the sparkle tile). Only
glitter output changes; non-glitter models are byte-identical.
Check in game: reprocess a property with glitter models, then look at
them from a few angles and distances, on each graphics quality:
- sparkles flash on and off all over the glitter bricks, continuously
- no flickering fight between the sparkles and the brick surface
- transparent glitter bricks still see-through, flecks still visible
- nothing drawn where there is no glitter brick; icons unchanged
apart from the flecks

- IUgc::GetUgcProcessTotals sums what the UGC server made, for models and
for car and rocket builds: count, time spent (and how many are timed),
CPU time, average and slowest, average and most memory (estimate),
bricks, triangles and triangles saved (models whose count before hidden
face removal is known). /api/ugc returns them as totals and the UGC page
shows a card for each kind. Parity tested.
- Player models no longer have a shared icon preset: every one is a
different size and shape, so its icon is fitted to it from the settings.
The UGC server ignores a kind:model preset, the dashboard refuses to save
one, and the icon editor hides the type buttons for models. One model's
own icon values still work. Car and rocket build types keep theirs.

Glitter colors (Materials.xml type glitter, glitter_colors 114,117) go into
S21_Glitter_Model and, transparent, S21_GlitterAlpha_Model (shader_glitter,
default 21, LEGO-AnimUV). Their shapes get box-projected UVs, an
NiTexturingProperty with a stored 128 px mipmapped fleck texture
(NiSourceTexture + NiPersistentSrcTextureRendererData, as the client's own
env_ag_ocean-maelstrom.nif) and two NiTextureTransformControllers looping
the base map's translation (glitter_size, glitter_density, glitter_speed).
The shader lays the texture over the vertex color by its alpha and outputs
the vertex alpha, so transparent glitter blends as S01_Alpha does.
Satin colors (satin_colors, LEGO's opal colors) stay in S01_Alpha but get
satin_opacity and are whitened by satin_whiten.
NifFile reads the base map's scroll speed (uvScroll) from the controllers;
the icon draws still flecks, the UGC 3D view and the LXFML viewers moving
ones. stats.json counts the glitter groups. With shader_glitter 0 and no
satin colors the files are the same bytes as before (tested). Also keeps
glow_emissive for the icon (it was reset by the icon settings).

The property page gets a Reprocess all models button (ugc_manage): every
model placed on the property goes back to the UGC server's queue, made
again with the current settings (/api/ugc/reprocess with {property}).
Import models gets Remove all models (properties_import): deletes every
model placed on the property after the property id is typed in, refused
while the property is loaded in a world, as import is.

NifFile::ShaderLookFor knows Polished Metal (98), Brushed Steel (99) and
LEGO-Emissive (53). The UGC mesh route sends each mesh's look (from its
multishader tag), and the UGC 3D view draws metal as reflective and glow
unlit. The zone views draw LEGO-Emissive objects going to their vertex
color by its alpha, as the shader does.

The UGC server stores a model's most detailed level's triangles before it
removed the faces that can't be seen (ugc.triangle_count_before;
migrations sqlite 75, mysql 92), from stats.json when it makes a model
and, once, for the models made before. The UGC page's models list has a
Saved column (the share and number of triangles removed, before/after in
its tooltip), sortable by the share (sort=savings), and the gallery can
sort by most triangles saved.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
When the UGC server is enabled, the Diagnostics page shows it: online or
unreachable, busy workers and queue, CPU against its limit, memory and
the jobs' estimated memory against its budget, stored files, what it
made and failed since it started, the last makes, and how many models
and cars/rockets are made, waiting, failed or empty. Refreshed every 10
seconds from /api/diagnostics/ugc (health_view).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The UGC page ran a CDClient query per distinct car or rocket combination
to find each preset's sample (thousands on a large server), re-read the
car and rocket build types from the CDClient on every list request, and
grouped every build into assemblies again on every page, sort or filter
change of the Cars and rockets list.
The modules and icon kinds are now read once at startup on the main
thread (UgcRoutes::Preload), so the web threads never query the CDClient
(which they must not), a combination's kind comes from that table, and
the grouped assemblies are shared by the requests of 15 seconds.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The models list's Took, CPU and RAM (est.) are separate columns, each
sortable (sort=slowest|cpu|memory). The File column shows the name a
player gave the model where it is placed, with the upload's extension
(the upload's file name is its tooltip), and the name sort uses it
(case-insensitive, so SQLite and MySQL agree).
The config layer test no longer assumes the build's sharedconfig.ini has
no mysql_host; it checks that the database-supplied value isn't used.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The models list has separate Made (when) and Took (the time, CPU and
estimated memory) columns, each sortable in either direction; /api/ugc
takes sort=made (processed_at) besides sort=slowest, and the gallery can
sort by recently made.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The UGC server records, with each successful make's time, the worker
thread's CPU time for it and the memory it estimated the job needs (the
figure its memory budget counts; not a measurement)
(process_cpu_ms and process_memory_kb on ugc and ugc_modular_build;
migrations sqlite 74, mysql 91). The UGC page shows them with the time
and duration ("took 12.4 s, CPU 11.9 s, ~96 MB RAM (est.)"), and
durations use the largest units that fit, up to days.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The UGC server records how long each successful make took (process_ms on
ugc and ugc_modular_build; migrations sqlite 73, mysql 90). The UGC page
shows it with the time it was made: in the models list's Made column
(sortable, slowest first), in the tiles' tooltips, in the item preview
and in an assembly's References. The gallery can sort by slowest to
make too. Makes from before this are shown without a duration.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The UGC page's List view (models and car/rocket assemblies) and an
assembly's References panel are server-side DataTables like the rest of
the dashboard: sort by clicking a column heading, in either direction,
with the page length and sort remembered per user. They still read
/api/ugc and /api/ugc/assembly/builds, so the prefix search and filters
above the list keep working; the gallery keeps its own pager and sort.
/api/ugc takes reverse=1 for a sort's other direction (the model list's
SQL order and the assembly sort both flip), and the references endpoint
sorts by id, owner, account or state. Tests cover the reversed orders.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
IUgcLookup::ListUgc pages either kind with the UGC search's matching, a state
and a sort, and counts the matches (MySQL and SQLite share the SQL). The UGC
server records each model's bricks and triangles (new ugc columns) so models
can be sorted by size. Cars and rockets are listed as assemblies, one per
combination of modules, with their build type, module names and how many
builds use them; filters for type, state, module and owner. Each assembly's
builds (with where they are) are paged, and a build's assembly can be looked
up for links.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
GET /api/ugc/assembly converts the UGC server's assembled .nif for the 3D
view. The icon parameter list names each parameter's group; the kinds carry a
sample (a model, or the most used combination) to edit a preset on. The icon
preview is viewable as the /ugc page. ugc-pose-math.js mirrors UgcIconPose and
both are checked against one fixture (gtest and node).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The /ugc page's routes and the UGC links' icon and mesh routes each had
their own copy of the curl request and its short cache. Both use
UgcFetch now: the URL is worked out on the web thread, the request and
cache run on worker threads. Players' errors still don't name the
internal URL.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The editor on the UGC page works for player models as well as cars and
rockets: its sliders come from /api/ugc/icon/params (UgcIconParams), it
shows the item's kind (player models, or the build type named from the
client's data), previews with the UGC server, and saves the kind's preset or
the item's own values, resets them and draws a kind's icons again.
The light settings whose defaults changed have new names (icon_world_light,
icon_sun_light, icon_shadow_strength), so the darker values in existing
ugcconfig.ini files no longer apply. Request ids are read safely (a missing
id crashed the dashboard).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
A model with no bricks has nothing to make: it gets its own state
(is_optimized = 3), isn't counted as a failure or retried, shows as Empty
on the UGC page (with its own filter and count), in the status and in
Prometheus, and its downloads answer 404 like HKX. State names come from
the enum (magic_enum). Migrations dlu/mysql/87 and dlu/sqlite/70 move the
rows that failed only because they had no bricks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Brighter icons: a world light, a fill from the camera, a highlight, exposure
and contrast; with the defaults the icons' mean luminance matches the game's
own model icons (118 against 120 on a scratch set). Every icon parameter is
listed once (UgcIconParams: key, setting, range, default); the settings,
the dashboard's settings entries and the icon editor come from that list.
Presets per kind (player models, each car or rocket build type from
ModularBuildComponent) and overrides per model or module combination are in
ugc_icon_settings.
Saved models wait ugc_debounce_seconds (sharedconfig) after the owner's last
save before they're made (ugc.process_after); a client asking for one, the
owner leaving the world or a reset ends the wait.
Cars and rockets: one icon per combination of modules (sorted LOTs), shared
by every build of it; builds of a combination made already are marked made
right away, the client's per-blueprint downloads serve the shared files.
The dashboard can delete one item's files, purge by filter or all, preview
icons with any values on the UGC server (/admin routes, master password),
save presets and overrides, and draw a kind's icons again (icons only).
Migrations dlu/mysql/86 and dlu/sqlite/69. Not done yet: the dashboard
editor's lighting controls in the page script (routes are there), docs for
it, the empty-model state, /ugc?item= links, the shared fetch helper; the
storage size and property loading bugs are next.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The /ugc page no longer needs the browser to reach the UGC server: the
dashboard fetches its status (/api/ugc/server/status), the files it made
(/api/ugc/files/<kind>/<id>/<file>) and its NIFs converted for the 3D view
(/api/ugc/mesh/<id>, NifFile like the scenery) from ugc_internal_url
(default http://127.0.0.1:2008) with libcurl on the worker threads, keeping
small answers briefly. ugc_public_url is only an "open on the UGC server"
link now.
The page gets an icon gallery beside the list, filtered by kind, state and a
search by id or owner (GetUgcProcessList/GetModularBuildProcessList take a
search), and a viewer: the generated NIF in 3D at any LOD, now or before it
was made again, with wireframe, vertex color and baked lighting switches, the
LXFML beside it, the icon now and before, and the stats with triangles before
and after hidden faces were removed. The status box shows CPU, memory, the
jobs' memory estimate with their limits, and throttling. The settings page
lists the UGC server's new settings.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Counts, a paged list and failures of what the UGC server made of players'
models and modular builds, making one, the failed ones or everything again
(new ugc_manage permission), the UGC server's live status and icons from
ugc_public_url, and a 3D view of a model's LXFML. The UGC settings are in the
settings catalog.
